Working at Kobas puts us in a wonderful cross-over space between London’s web technology scene, and the UK’s burgeoning hospitality industry. That means we get to work with fascinating new technology to constantly improve the Kobas platform, and it also means we get sneak previews of hundreds of bars, pubs, cafés, clubs and restaurants.
As ever in these updates, we look for new venues that demonstrate the variety of hospitality operations that can benefit from becoming a part of the Kobas family. This time we’ve the award winning Boulevard Brasserie in London’s Covent Garden, a country pub on the Surrey / Sussex border, and a burger bar / tap room / bottle shop in Dalston.
Boulevard Brasserie switched to Kobas in February
Boulevard Brasserie is a large three storey classic French brasserie in the heart of Covent Garden’s Opera Quarter. With 7 tills and 9 printers, this is an enterprise rack-mount server backed system that handles hundreds of orders and thousands of item sales per day.
The Charlwood re-opened with Kobas in March
AFD Group acquired The Charlwood and re-opened it in March following a full refurbishment. AFD Group operate three other venues in Surrey and Sussex, all powered by Kobas. The Charlwood is a delightful village pub with full kitchen facilities preparing hand-made, fresh dishes from local produce.
Beer + Burger opened with Kobas in January
Beer + Burger is a burger bar, tap room and bottle shop concept with an original store in Willesden. The team behind the concept are long-standing Kobas clients, and we’re delighted to see them open their second Beer + Burger concept. While their wares are very much what it says on the tin, we can vouch that both their beers and burgers are excellent.
That’s all for now – we look forward to unveiling some exciting new venues in the summer. If you’d like to know more about new and existing Kobas venues, and our general exploration of great hospitality venues, keep an eye on our Twitter feed.
