What does your day-to-day look like / what does your role involve?
My role is to ensure that our clients understand and are engaged with Kobas so they get the most benefit from the system for their business. Day to day I speak and meet with clients to find answers to their questions and resolutions to any issues they have, deliver training to enhance their understanding of the system, and support the wider Client Services team. I also help organise the staff socials 🥳
What did you do before working at Kobas?
I’ve spent my whole career in hospitality, right from walking the local pub dog at the age of 12! Later, I worked as a General Manager and later as Sales & Events Manager for Adventure Bar Group, where I used Kobas as an operator, and also worked on new venue openings for Honest Burgers. After moving back to the South West I worked as Launch Manager for a new bakery business, before finding Kobas again.
What’s your favourite thing about working here?
Working within the hospitality industry but without the hospitality lifestyle is probably the top of a very long list, with being able to work flexibly and remotely also up there, especially when it’s from the back of my van by the beach! And, of course, the people. The team are all passionate about the product and there is genuine importance given to the wellbeing and enjoyment of everyone working here.
After work you can often be found…
Practicing or gigging with my steelband, Real Steel, or in the sea.
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, it would be…
Salty popcorn or literally anything with coconut.
