Meet some of the people behind Kobas with our team Q&As. Of course, not every team member wants to be featured on the website (plus there is a lot of us!), but you can rest assured they’re just as great.
What’s your role at Kobas?
Senior Account Manager
When did you join the company?
September 2021
What does your day-to-day look like / what does your role involve?
I spend the majority of my time working with larger clients from the day they go live with Kobas, to helping them to get the most out of the system. This often involves delivering training, troubleshooting with them or meeting with them to discuss their needs. Working alongside our Support Help Desk, I deal with escalations and complex matters.
I oversee the Account Management function, regularly meeting with the team to ensure we are offering the best and most consistent service we can. I also lead our communications with existing clients and maintain our online Knowledge Base. Finally, I bring the insights from our client base and my hospitality background into the planning of our system development and organisation.
What did you do before working at Kobas?
My job before Kobas was as a General Manager for a Sheffield-based pub group called True North Brew Co, where I used Kobas. I also have and continue to work at festivals and events managing bars. In my previous life, I worked with families and young people.
What’s your favourite thing about working here?
I was drawn to Kobas because I genuinely believe the product to be industry-leading. I also enjoy the hospitality industry but needed a healthier work-life balance. In this role, I am able to make real differences to our clients and have my voice heard within Kobas, and my input valued. The working arrangements at Kobas are flexible which only leads to a significant increase in my productivity: I am happy; I work harder!
After work you can often be found…
Walking the dog (probably to the nearest restaurant or pub).
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, it would be…
Salmon fillet closely followed by a cheesy garlic bread.
