Multi-Venue Ordering (MVO) is an ordering app that streamlines the ordering process for customers in food hall operations, replacing the need for multiple mobile ordering applications or several stall visits. Instead, the app lets your guests order from the different traders located under one roof, make one single payment, and monitor the status of each order.

How does this work?

Multi-Venue Ordering is hosted within the Kobas Customer Interaction Centre (CIC), a centralised web application that hosts all your customer-facing online apps in one connected space including Delivery / Click & Collect, Loyalty, Gift Cards, and more.

• Multi-Venue Ordering works on a parent-child premise. This means when different areas have a lead venue assigned, all other venues within that area will be shown in the app as individual traders in the marketplace area.

• When a customer orders from multiple venues, Kobas catches the order and splits it, sending the individual orders down to each relevant EPoS server, where work dockets print and the order is fulfilled by the staff at each venue.

• Some traders may only want to have to-table ordering active, whilst others might want to add a click & collect option. In Kobas Cloud, the ordering options available at each venue can be managed in minutes.

• Manage variable opening/closing hours for each venue in Kobas Cloud and the system will only show them live in the Multi-Venue Ordering marketplace area when they’re open.


Your customer’s ordering journey

Step 1

Your customer scans the QR code on the table from their mobile device. The food hall’s marketplace page will be displayed, showing the traders they can order from.

They will then select traders, browse through the menus, and add orders from different places into one shared basket.

When reviewing their order, the customer will see the items added against each place and can add notes to specific orders.

Step 4

After selecting a checkout option (sign in, create a new account or checkout as a guest), they can enter card details, use a saved card, or pay with Apple Pay. Better yet, the order will be completed with just one convenient transaction.

Step 5

The separate traders will accept the order (or auto-accept can be turned on) and payment will be taken. The app will display an order confirmation screen, showing the order statuses from each place.

Step 6

When orders are ready, the order statuses on the app will automatically update. And, your customer will receive a confirmation email with VAT receipts per trader.


White label app

The Customer Interaction Centre app, including Multi-Venue Ordering for food halls, is a ready-to-go web application that contains the latest features, a trialled and tested user interface, and a branded theme.

It looks and feels like a native app, but without the timely install, giving your customers a streamlined ordering experience. This allows for a reliable, efficient and cost-effective deployment whilst ensuring your branding is at the forefront for a bespoke, white-label app feel.
